Turtle Beach | Point-of-Rocks

Crescent Beach, a brilliant white crescent of the finest, whitest sand you'll find anywhere, stretches from the junction of Ocean Blvd and Midnight Pass Road, to a few blocks past the point where Stickney Point Road joins Siesta Key to Sarasota. Described another way, Crescent Beach stretches from just south of Siesta Public Beach all the way to Point-of-Rocks, a distance of about two miles.

Crescent Beach, Siesta Key, Florida.

There are so many beachfront accommodations located on Crescent Beach I hardly know where to start. Most sit right on the beach. A few are across the street from the beach, and quite a few have properties both on the beach and across the street from the beach. Midnight Pass Road is the only public roadway in the Crescent Beach Area, and it runs north and south.

There are no public access points in most of the Crescent Beach area, so the people you find on the beaches are mostly vacationers staying in the beachfront rentals. Although there are physical pathways to the beach, they are on private resort property and are only for the resort guests.

The purpose of this page isn't necessarily to point you to a specific property, but rather to give you an idea of what's available and what the area and the beach are like. So if you use a realtor or manager to help you locate the best Siesta Key beachfront vacation rental for you and your family, you'll already have an idea of what is where on the island.

There is a sidewalk on the west side of Midnight Pass Road, so you can walk or ride a bike. It is about 2 miles from the Public Beach Access to the South Village area.

The Crescent Beach area of Siesta Key is not a residential area, although there are beachfront condominiums with year-round and seasonal owners. Generally, this area is full of vacationers and vacation rentals on both the bay and Gulf side of Midnight Pass Road. Traffic along Midnight Pass Road is heavy during the winter and spring season, but doesn't usually back up except on nice beach weekends or holidays. Traffic is much lighter during the summer months. As I mentioned, there is a sidewalk along Midnight Pass road for pedestrians and bicycles, but it is quite narrow.
